I was thinking that I'd have a look at Blood's various sound effects, so I extracted all the files from sounds.rff using Ken's KBARF. Right now I have a folderful of pairs of RAW and SFX files (13DEATH.RAW + 13DEATH.SFX and so on). Is the next step to convert all the .raw files to .wav? Do I have to use any specific settings when converting if I am to attain success? I've tried to convert a few files using some random "* to WAV and back" program I found using Google (Ease Audio Converter), but the audio quality is really quite terrible with plenty of static/crackling.
Also, what is the purpose of the .sfx files?
