I didn't find any clear information on the status of the multiplayer. To me it seems currently only 2 player peer2peer mode is available, is that true? If not, how do I use the master/slave mode to play with more than two people? (and maybe without having to forward ports on all the clients)

Re: SWP Multiplayer
It only has peer to peer mode. Use Yang for 3 or more players.

Ah nice thx, didn't know about that tool.
However, we now tried to start a 4 player game for almost an hour, but no luck. In the end, we just had two two-player-sessions. :D When hitting "launch" in yang, you get this console window that starts SWP, and on two of the computers this actually worked, on the other two, it didn't. When it came to the line where it starts SWP.exe with all the params, it just stopped there. No game popping up. Sometimes the windows closed again after that. The script that was running in this command window successfully CDed to the swp directory, so when it came to starting swp.exe it was no "file not found" error. We also tried putting the path names in "", but that didn't help either. What's probably worth mentioning is, that the two computers where it didn't work were Win7 machines (one 32bit, one 64bit) Just a coincidence?
The next step was that every one of us took screenshots (yeah lol) of the command line that was passed to swp and tried to start it manually that way. This actually did start the game on every computer, however, it either stayed at "waiting for other players" forever, or if the game mode selection menu popped up on the "host", starting the game didn't doo anything on the other computers, and the "host" was stopping at the level loading screen. We double-checked that everyone forwarded the port in his router properly, we also successfully started a two-player-game in every possible combination, so technically there wasn't anything that might have blocked communication. In the end we only tried with 3 players, but also no luck.
Anyone got a troubleshooting guide or something? I really feel like we tried everything, even the stupid ideas.
I'd really like to investigate in this issue or better yet try to fix the master/slave mode, but I don't really have the time to get into the code, some parts are really ugly, and almost no comments :(

Make Sure every body has same version of SWP. Not sure if sound works in win 7 or not. If running for first time make sure to reboot pc after allowing the firewall settings. You will have to read the yang FAQ to see which ports you have to open in firewall.

Windows 7 has not been catered for yet in Swp but will be in next version.
