As a big fan of Blood, I had followed this project pretty closely while it was active up until it vanished into thin air some time last year. I saw a post here asking where the WinBlood files could be found and figured I'd post them for anyone interested. I used to host a mirror for IceColdDuke.
Latest binary and source:

I was hoping IceColdDuke would resume the project as he claimed he would, but it looks pretty dead at the moment... maybe some talented individuals would be interested in reviving Blood? I dream of the day when I can play Blood 100% on NT/XP based systems perhaps even with OpenGL, complete in-game config, TCP/IP client/server multiplayer (along with a dedicated netgame mode/exe), fixed vertical mouse aiming, and other various enhancements as implemented in ZDooM or JFDuke. It could even evolve into builds for other platforms such as linux and pocket pcs. .... but, yeah, the reality is thats as likely to happen as me gettin' it on with that bangin' John Romero chick. Oh yeaaah. :(

Nobody wants to reverse-engineer Blood, so this project is dead. And in its current stage, it's totally useless.
Since we have the Shadow Warrior source code now, continuing WinBlood with the Duke3D codebase is pointless. The Shadow Warrior game engine can do everythig that the Blood game engine can (voxels, sector over sector (SW's sector over sector handler is way better than the one in Blood), hard-coded AI, particle system for the squirting blood effect, transparent water surface, etc.), and much more.

What about writing the converter to convert blood maps to shadow warrior ones and reimplement enemies?
He wasn't using the Duke3D codebase on Winblood...at least, only parts of it. He had Shadow Warrior code in there towards the end.
He just disappeared from MSN one day and I never spoke to him again about what the hell happened.
Oh well, he apparently has a reputation for never finishing what he starts..

i had to register as 2 because i registered the first one has a under 13 year old ; (. Actually the shadow warrior code was worthless, when I did the SOS code morphing that in with my code base was near impossible. There is some code from Duke3D in there specially with the movement...other then that the rest is mine. I was thinking about restarting it from scratch completelly(the architecture of the front end was not network compadible at all). And I dropped MSN, if you want to hit me sirlemhead xfailskater23 on aim.
But getting as far as i did...it was a pain in the as, again I was thinking about restarting it from scratch but id have to completelly start over, the coding archtecture was HORENDOUS, it wasn't networking savy....I havent been here in awhile ive been working on a seperate engine for a couple years but has jonof fixed any of the networking bugs in the port?

You shouldn't need to. The Blood source code is out there somewhere. I've seen it.

Nah, only about 10% of the source code to an early alpha version of Blood is out there.

It was helpful with something things like the xtra data but that was about it. Even that was didn't really help much.

As I have read the correspondence on the BloodSource campaign, didn't the programmers of Blood say that they only made MINOR MODIFICATIONS to the BUILD SOURCE CODE? Well, we have Build Source Code already; what is missing is most of the Blood Source. But there is a alpha-release, isnt it? Maybe it is possible to use most of the Code from Shadow Warrior to fill up...? As far as I understand the way the Build games are put together, there is files with artwork, files with sound, levels which combine both information of the files and the engine which actually only runs this information. It is the build engine that is the heart to everything, no? Doesnt that mean that a ported Build Source Engine can run ALL Build games that the current Build Engine release can work with (I mean the difference of the versions for room-over-room etc.)?
It seems that there is no way in hell that we will ever get the source code. There is so much done, and when even contacting programmers etc. doesnt work then there either IS no source for blood anymore due to inexistance, or there is somebody not caring about releasing it and thus no chance EVER to get it.
Oh and another thing I wondered about... 3DFX did their patchwork for Blood - as I understand the correspondence, they also used the SOURCE for their patch... could there be a minor chance that maybe they still have a backup copy laying somewhere...?

This topic reminds me of that old song, "There's a Hole in the Bucket".
MINOR MODIFICATIONS to the BUILD SOURCE CODE?
The game developers didn't have the Build source. The Blood folks overrode Build functions with ones they'd rewritten to suit their needs.

Yes, partial alpha source. Basically useless.

No. They're two different games. You can't use Toyota Corolla parts to build a Honda Civic even though they're both cars and they're both Japanese.

Sure, but you still have the problem of getting permission.
