Whenever i try to enable Polymost video mode the game slows to the point where it takes me about 5 seconds to move from one main menu item to another.
I got a relatively old video card(voodoo3)on win2k, with updated drivers for win2k/xp which enable openGL/glide, but i get some much newer games, like High Heat 2003, or NHL 2003 to run without any lag. So yeah my video card is pretty old, but i cant imagine it not being able to handle such an old game, even with an updated 3d mode.
any advice on what may be causing this or how to fix it? thanks in dcance.

Win2k? Win2k sucks! It has minor support fer video games... I suggest switching to WinXp and upgrading your PC....
PS,
Do you have SP4 installed?

Did you select 8-bit polymost instead of 16bit?
In any case, Voodoos aren't supported because I haven't been able to get a hold of one to test with in order to properly support them. You're probably going to have problems, and with a Voodoo 3, you're almost definitely going to have problems.

It's slow because it's going under a software rendering emulation mode. I haven't tested it yet, but try copying 3dfxgl.dll from your Windows/system folder, paste it in the folder where you run jfDuke, rename it to OpenGL32.dll and have a blast. Also, remember to only run it in 16-bit color because Voodoo's before 5 can only do 16. This may or may not work, since I don't have a Voodoo3, just a Voodoo2 and a Banshee.
