Hi ;-)
Im working on a project for my school... i was thinking about many ways to make it, but the best/easiest one seems to be HERE ;-)
The project is to make some city that u could be walking around and after getting to certain place, game would exit.... your position (way u passed the city) would be saved in some file (x,y)...
But first of all... is there a difference between Duke3d and SW ? I'd rather have True-Color hi-res textures if i can... can I ? Maybe EDuke3d Project would be better choice?
Ok... second is how do i make my own GRP (or whatever) file? I mean put my own textures etc etc...
And the important thing... i never ever worked with C before... could anybody plz at least tell me in easy steps how do i compile it? I'd rather use MinGW, because its free and i dont want to break any law...
Thank you very very much for your help

You know as much as an earthworm about Trigometry...

This could technically be done with EDuke32. It's possible to grab the player's coordinates and log them to a file, at which point you could parse them and do whatever you wanted with it.
