Hi, I wanted to install the jonofbuild duke 3d. I installed the shareware version first. And then the jonof build. But I need to copy that grp file to the specified directory but I can't find that GRP file anywhere in the duke3d directory. How is that possible and can I get it from somewhere else and if I do will that work?
I hope I don't need an original copy cause you can't buy that anywhere. I played it on the psx and loved it so much back then. I wanna play it again.
Nevermind. the file doesn't have grp behind it. Got it working now. Great stuff, Thx JonoF for making this. :D

Yes, actually, it does. The Windows option to hide file extensions from the user should have never been enabled by default.

Thx for the reply, Call me a n00b but I can;t figure out how to make a LAN game work. Dukesterx isn't working cause it needs a masterserver on the internet and i wan't to play it with a friend via LAN. I use my computer and my laptop. I don't know jack shit how about using the command line parameters to setup a game. Passed to duke3d.exe. What do they mean by that. Do I start up a game by using the normal .exe file and then in game Num lock and the command line parameters?Like I put in /net /n1 his ip And my buddy puts in /net my ip/n1 192.168.1.6 I tried the duke3d.exe/n1 my ip versus duke3d.exe his ip /n1 nothing seems to work. I constantly get the bla bla bla is an invalid variable bla bla bla. The windows xp command line c:/thing doesn't work either.I tried using or not using spaces in between and what not. Nothing works.
I'm lost and i can't figure out how the hell I should use the stuff from the release notes.
Isn't there somewhere described exactly what I need to type in the console?
