mp3pc.exe on Windows XP

  Hello, Ken.
  
  I've downloaded right now your mp3pc.exe utility, but it doesn't play in my system.
  
  c:\>mp3pc joey.mp3 <enter>
  
  50.00% 0
  
  c:\>_
  
  that is, it goes back to the DOS prompt, with no music!
  
  any sugestions?

  Give up. Playing anything through the PC speaker in anything but pure DOS or Win9x is almost guaranteed to fail. If it could manage to make a noise it wouldn't be pure because the emulated timer for DOS windows in WindowsXP isn't the most accurate of things.

  Perhaps you missed the part of my description where it says: "Unfortunately, you must run this in pure DOS mode for it to work." I am locking this thread for your benefit.
